BLURB

It's said that your life flashes before your eyes when you die.
It must only happen to those whose lives were worthy.
Clearly, mine was not.

The only thing that happened to me was a repeat of what I thought was my death.
The blast of the gun as it went off.
The loss of my breath as two hundred pounds of dead weight dropped on top of me.
And then darkness.
This replayed over and over.

When the guy squatted down next to me and asked if I was hurt, the only thing I could see, feel,
hear, were those few seconds.
Even now, as I sat in the back of a blacked out van—it was the only thing that ran through my mind.
Gunshot, breath, darkness.

redemptive-fb-cover-REVIEW

Well after the way Combative ended I was especially interested in how this book would pan out.  I naturally assumed like most series books when there is a cliffhanger that book 2 would follow on from book 1.

This does not, Jay McLean goes against the grain and with book 2 Redemptive takes us back.  Back to the time before Combative.  Back to exactly how Nate knows Bailey.

I have to say I actually preferred this book to book 1.  This one had much more drama and strength to it and the chemistry between Bailey and Nate was amazing.  That and the secondary character of Tiny made the story something that you won't want to put down.

I've said enough. I refuse to say anymore or it will destroy the story.

4 1/2 stars from me.
